The President's Investing in America agenda provides significant funding through the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. To help connect small businesses with resources and opportunities the SBA established the Investing in America Hub. This HUB is the first and only digital portal of its kind providing industry-specific resources to help small businesses tap into opportunities under the Investing in America initiative.
As part of Investing in America, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill (BIL) was signed into law on November 15, 2021 and provides considerable funding opportunities to federal, state and local governments for infrastructure and infrastructure-related projects. Since the BIL was signed on November 15, 2021, businesses located in Oregon and Southwest Washington have already been awarded over $420 million in federal contract actions. Federal contract awards funded by BIL span multiple industries including:
Forestry
Scientific and Technical Consulting and Services
Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction
Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction
Administrative Management Services
Surveying and Mapping Services
Commercial/Institutional Building Construction
And many more
