ABOUT THE EVENT: As a business owner, providing the opportunity for anyone to feel welcomed is imperative to your business’ success. To do this effectively, business owners need to understand how to support a diverse group of people. This workshop will cover foundational information to consider when infusing diversity, equity, and inclusion topics into your business. This can look like: understanding best practices, how to support staff members & customers who hold different identities than you, and tools you can use to deal with resistance.
About the Speaker: DJ Kelly-Quattrocchi, M.S., (he/him/his) is the founder & CEO of KQ Consulting & Training LLC located in Eugene, OR.
He has been doing equity work for over 10 years and has worked within higher education, local government, and non-profit organizations. DJ is a mixed-race, queer, educator who focuses on utilizing narrative storytelling as a meaning making tool. His programmatic focuses are on bi/multiracial people’s experiences, bi/pan/queer identity development, how to change systems to center equity instead of white supremacy, and the need of identity spaces as in-group space to discuss experiences. As a business owner, DJ focuses on creating spaces where anyone can access services, regardless of identity, so they can be successful in their career and personal goals.
