Fatima Falcon

Business Resource Manager

Fatima joined the BRC team in October 2022. Fatima is from Mexico and moved to Keizer when she was nine years old. She graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Linfield University.

Fatima found her passion supporting local businesses, particularly Spanish-speaking business owners at the Keizer Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as a board member at the Latino Business Alliance and Chairs their Expo Negocio committee, a signature event. She is an avid supporter of her community and volunteers with Ciudadania en Oregon (Citizenship in Oregon) and is Chair of the Distinguished Young Women of Keizer program.

Fatima’s main goal at the Oregon Business Resource Center is to build a space where business owners from different backgrounds and industries feel listened to and comfortable telling their story. Bringing people together is her passion and her specialty.

Fatima’s Outreach Communities: Her outreach will be focused on the cities of Keizer, St. Paul, and Wilsonville. She also supports Spanish-speaking business owners in Newberg, Dundee, and Sherwood.

Daniela Leao

BRC Program Support Specialist

Daniela joined the BRC team in October 2022. She was born and raised in Brazil, and moved to Oregon to attend college where she found her career aspiration was to work with diverse communities. For the past few years, she has worked in event programming and implementation both for and with international students at Clackamas Community College (CCC) and has assisted CCC's Multicultural Center by organizing cultural awareness events and programs.

Daniela is driven by her passion for social justice and believes community engagement is the key to creating positive change. She is excited to be in the role of Program Support Specialist, a critical role for ensuring the BRC fulfills its goal of strengthening small businesses as they rebuild operations after the pandemic.

In her spare time, Daniela enjoys crafting and making custom gifts with a Cricut.

Beth Bering

Beth joined the BRC team in March 2023. She has lived in Oregon since 1995 and appreciates the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Beth brings several years of Career Services and Business Development experience and has partnered with small and large businesses to improve recruiting, hiring, training, and staff development. Her passion for helping others succeed will continue at the BRC as she enjoys connecting with business leaders and helping them solve today's challenges.

Beth is currently attending George Fox University studying Organizational Leadership and is a volunteer for Dress for Success Oregon. She was an active member of the Portland Human Resources Management Association and has worked with organizations such as Portland Women in Technology, and the PDX Veterans in Technology. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, kayaking, tennis, and traveling.

Jessica Chanay

Jessica joined the BRC team in August 2022. She has a history of community service in the U.S. Air Force and many years of nonprofit work supporting efforts to prevent hunger and homelessness. During the COVID pandemic, she administered business recovery services in Oregon City. She has an MBA from Portland State University and believes strongly in the benefits of private-public-nonprofit partnerships and the positive effect they can have on local community building and economic development efforts.

As director of the Oregon BRC, she guides her team’s efforts to support small business owners to help create a stronger and more resilient local economy.
